In order to develop a successful marketing strategy, you first need to figure out your company’s pain points. The goal is to develop a marketing strategy that will differentiate your company from others.

A pain point is anything that is currently causing your company to suffer and it could be something as simple as a process that takes too long or too many mistakes. One of the most important parts of marketing is identifying your company’s pain points and they need to be addressed in order to make your company more successful.

There are several ways to identify your company’s pain points, including:

Surveys and Focus Groups

Conducting surveys is an excellent way to collect information about your company and it can be short and simple or long and detailed. Either way, the survey will give you valuable information about your company’s pain points.

Focus groups are a good way to get feedback from your customers and clients and are not as formal as surveys. They consist of a small group of people who are willing to give their opinions on a particular subject. There are several ways to conduct focus groups, including:

  • Paid focus groups
  • Volunteer focus groups

Paid focus groups usually consist of a small group of people who have been paid to participate in the focus group and be led by an experienced moderator, who will ask the participants questions about the company. Volunteer focus groups are led by a moderator who has been hired by the company that will invite people to come and participate in the focus group.

Talking with Clients and Customers

Talking with clients and customers is one of the most effective ways to identify your company’s pain points. When you are talking with your customers, you should be prepared to ask them questions about your company. Try to find out what their biggest complaints are and what they would like to see changed.

Ask them what they feel your strengths and weaknesses are, also specific questions about your products or your services. Asking these types of questions will get you valuable information about your company’s pain points.

Talking with Marketing Strategy Team Members

Marketing team members are usually the people who are closest to the customers and clients of your company, if there is something that the customers or clients do not like about your company, then the marketing team members will likely know about it.

Everyone on the team will be able to give you valuable information about what customers and clients like and do not like about your company. It is important for you to take the time to talk with everyone on the team.

Talking with Employees

Most employees have regular contact with customers and clients of the company and If there are things that the customers or clients do not like about the company, then these employees will likely know about it. It is important for you to take the time to talk with every employee on a regular basis.

When talking with employees, you should be prepared to ask them questions about the company. Ask them what they like or not about working for the company, what changes they feel should be made at the company or what changes they feel would make their job easier.
