Meet the Team

Kelly McKenzie - President, Group 2

Kelly McKenzie

President

Kelly founded GROUP 2 in 1988, the result of a lifelong goal to run his own business. Well-rounded tenures at a large Fort Lauderdale advertising agency, a small production studio in Pittsburgh and ultimately managing the Creative Services group at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh provided him with the skill-set required to tackle the necessary disciplines of business ownership.

With G2 hitting the 35+ year mark, the experience has been most rewarding. Being able to service a diverse client base and having an impact on the outcome of their marketing efforts is a continual “fuel” to maintain the successful venture with integrity and quality craftsmanship.

Kelly grew up in a small West Virginia town, moving to Pittsburgh in the mid-70’s to attend The Ivy School of Professional Art, majoring in design with a minor in photography. Upon graduation, a move to Florida provided the opportunity to align with a quality advertising agency and gain real-world experience. His involvement with the agency’s largest client, Piper Aircraft, provided a solid foundation and confirmed the decision to make it a career!

Residing with his wife Lisa in Gibsonia, PA, Kelly’s greatest accomplishment – with Lisa being the primary reason – is having raised three sons that have grown into great young men; Brandon, Tyler and Dylan. Adding daughter-in-law Jess, grandson Shane and granddaughter Taryn into the family has been the icing on the cake!

Ron Grice - Senior Designer/Illustrator/Animator

Ron Grice

Senior Designer, Illustrator, Animator

A native Pittsburgher with “a little more than a few” years of design, illustration and animation experience under his belt, Ron has always been driven to be creative – he’s at his his best when presented a design challenge in need of “outside of the box” attention. Developing the most creative yet logical path to a design solution is something that Ron feels is important to provide a client.

The ability to adapt to the ever-changing creative landscape has afforded GROUP 2 the flexibility to utilize Ron as a “jack of all trades” in most every conceivable instance – allowing GROUP 2 to stay in-house when it comes to adding a unique element to any given project. In addition to a strong graphic design and illustration base, Ron’s animation talents and knack for dimensional concepting makes him the “go to guy” when a project comes through the shop in need of these skill-sets – from initial brainstorming to final execution.

Ron, his wife Carrie, and their children reside in Greenock, PA. He loves sharing his passion for art with his daughter, being the coach of his son’s baseball team, enjoying a backyard beer and fire with family/friends, chainsaw sculpting, fishing/canoeing/camping… and of course, being a diehard 5x Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins fan!

Linda Kotewicz - Senior Designer/Developer

Linda Kotewicz

Senior Designer, Developer

Linda began her career as an intern for GROUP 2 while attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Her enthusiasm and diligence earned her a role as staff designer upon graduation.

Because GROUP 2 is a boutique firm, Linda was able to hone her abilities to manage projects from concept to completion. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for consistency enable her to provide clients with a finished product that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also highly efficient.

The industry has transformed considerably over the years and Linda continues to evolve in tandem by educating herself about new technologies and design trends via workshops and online resources. Linda is extremely proficient in the Adobe Suite, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Recently she completed a 12-week, full-stack web development bootcamp at Academy Pittsburgh.

Linda is from the modest steel town of McKeesport, PA. She can often be found trail running or hiking in the city and county parks.

Erin Panosian - Graphic Designer/Social Media Strategist

Erin Panosian

Designer, Social Media Strategist

A native of upstate New York (Elmira to be exact), Erin grew up in a small town but always dreamed of living the city life. She’s the product of a very close Irish/Armenian family and wouldn’t change it for the world! One of her greatest passions in life is traveling and experiencing things for the first time. “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone” has always been a motto she tries to live by.

Growing up, Erin always knew she wanted to do something in the creative field. She graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in May of 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Imaging Art and Sciences and a minor in Marketing. In her free time, Erin can usually be found with a camera in hand. In addition to being a designer, Erin is also a freelance photographer/videographer. One of her greatest passions in life is connecting with people whether it be through a lens or an honest conversation.

Erin is the newest member of the GROUP 2 team having been with the company since March 2013. She brings a fresh spark to the office and keeps the company up-to-date with the latest trends by managing the GROUP 2 social media accounts. Erin looks forward to what lies ahead and is so proud to call herself a member of the GROUP 2 Design team!

Brian Lee Campbell - Principal, Group 2

Brian Lee Campbell

Creative Consultant

Over a career spanning 30 years, Brian has worn many hats from Art Director to Chief Creative Officer for both large agencies and design boutiques in Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and Dallas. He has gained the respect of hundreds of organizations for his client-focused creative leadership and marketing savvy, as well as his ability to direct teams, campaigns and projects toward highly successful conclusions.

Most recently, as co-founding partner and Managing Director with Pittsburgh-based Third Planet Global Creative (TPGC), he led team efforts covering strategy, development, and integration across a diversity of industries, providing a full spectrum of brand development, creative design and writing, website development/SEO, interactive media, advertising, and video direction/production. He is most pleased that TPGC achieved an exceptional national ranking every year for the 12 years it was operating.

Brian grew up in nearby Wheeling, WV, and attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and the Ivy Professional School of Art in the 70’s, discovering his deep passion for art and design. And he has been doing both ever since.

Married to Cyndi for over 40 years, and residing in the wooded countryside of Washington County, he is most proud of their work together to raise their triplets. Now his painting and artwork have taken on additional meaning, as he balances this with his ongoing love of design.
